The Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC), Gilberto Kassab, participated on Wednesday (15) public hearing in the Committee on Science, Technology, Communication and Information of the House of Representatives. At the meeting, he said the government’s commitment to the recovery of investments in the research and technology sector.
“There is a frustration for the reduction of funds over the past few years. It is a community that depends on public resources. And we commit ourselves so that we can recover the then peak investments that had this area in a not too distant past “, Kassab said.
He also stressed the importance that the government recognizes the sector by pointing out that the downsizing promoted in the number of ministries from 40 to 23, the slurry was kept. The former Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Communications added and became the MCTIC.
And reaffirmed that public policies for the scientific community will have role within the folder. “I, as minister, and President Michel Temer, we are in tune with this concern and are guarantors, are guardians of this public policy of strengthening of science, technology and innovation.”
