The full Senate approved today (9) a bill the House creating the National Code of Science and Technology. Among other things, the text aims to simplify and stimulate the scientific, research, scientific and technological capacity and innovation in the country. In addition, it sets out principles to guide the measures for encouraging scientific activities.
The project provides for cooperation between public and private entities and dismissal of bidding, public administration, the signings of services or innovative products micro, small and medium. Similarly, there is also the possibility of bidding process for the procurement of goods and services for the research and development activities in public institutions.
It also aimed to encourage technological development, the project provides that mayors and governors can establish their own rules to simplify hiring and procurement of goods and services in this area.
The text has already been approved by the House and did not change in the Senate. Thus, the matter now goes to sanction the Presidency
