Researchers at the University of Hanyang, Korea, have developed a technology that can significantly improve the speed and life expectancy of the smartphone battery.
The main principle of the technology is that it not register unnecessary data on the devices. Professor You-jip Won, head of research confirms what many people already suspect: smartphones are becoming slower over time. According to Won, this happens because of the task of storing and erasing data repeated in flash memory.
The news can dramatically reduce the amount of recorded data. In tests, the researchers found an improvement of 14 times the speed of smartphones and an increase of almost 40% in battery life cycle. The survey results will be presented this week at a conference in California.
