Mercedes-Benz introduced the Digital Light, a technology of headlights equipped with lighting digital high-definition that allows to design symbols on the road (see video). For example, if the sensors to identify pedestrians on the edge of the road, the headlights can project a signal of the crossing to indicate that the pedestrian can cross the road. The stop sign, warning of snow, sign of works or a simple "smile", are the other symbols that can be designed.

This technology, which was first shown in concept F015, draws more than one million "micro-mirrors" by lighthouse. Using sensors and cameras, but also the algorithms developed by Mercedes-Benz, these new headlights are able to identify the presence of other elements on the road and adapt the light distribution to the environmental conditions, avoiding the chaining. These headlights have four points of light, each with 1024 LED individual, totaling 8192 LED.
