Members of the Standing Committee of Pharmacy and Therapeutics (CPFT), health professionals and managers participate in the first workshop on ‘Use of Technology Assessment (HTA) as a tool in decision making the Unified Health System (SUS). ‘ On Thursday and Friday (18:08 and 19:08), participants will understand the importance of health technology in decision making and also promote it in daily practice.
The president of CPFT, Kelli Carneiro de Freitas Tanaka explains that ATS are medicines, materials, equipment and procedures, organizational, educational information systems and support, and programs and assistance protocol, where attention and health care are provided for the population. “The workshop theme is contemporary and has excelled in health care discussions, partly because of the growing demand for new technologies in treatments.”
In this sense, according to the president, the evaluation of technology has is an essential tool to qualify the health decision-making as groups benefit information, costs and potential impacts on the health system of a likely choice.
Still in the opening, a member of CPFT, Luci Emilia de Oliveira, highlighted the importance of evidence-based medicine and evaluation of health technologies and, soon after, was the time of the presentation of the pharmaceutical Luisa Daige Marques, Hospital St. Benedict Cuiaba, which highlighted the formulation of a question evaluation using the PICO strategy
