Wim Wenders’s version of “Bright Days Ahead of Aranjuez”, an adaptation of a part of the Austrian writer Peter Handke, was filmed in 3D to attract viewers more intimate way for a dialogue on how men see women and how women see men, said the German veteran director said on Thursday.
in the film, a man and a woman sat in a garden on the outskirts of Paris on a summer day and share their views about love and freedom, weaving the narrative through memories and desires unexpressed.
the relationship with each other remains uncertain, while the presence of an apple on the table between them indicates Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden .
The film, which opens on the 73rd Venice International Film Festival Film Festival on Thursday, is one of 20 films are competing for the Golden Lion, which will be delivered on September 10.
“The place made me want to shoot in 3D because I wanted to take you there,” Wender said at a news conference.
“3D is a language and soft technology, it is a very kind technology, corresponds to our two eyes if you use it naturally … I do not think I could have included you in any other way, “added Wenders.
