Telephone: company will license its technology security home for limited testing in Europe
São Paulo – The AT & T said on Monday that the Spanish Telefónica will license its technology of home security for limited testing in Europe while the carrier of USA expected to have found a new way to profit from its nascent business connected home.
Telefónica will offer European customers a version of Digital Life system from AT & T for home automation and monitoring, for three to six months before evaluating the results of the study, said Steven Bartholomew, a spokesman for Telefónica
AT & T, which launched the Digital Life platform in the United States in 2013, is in talks with several other potential global partners on similar licensing agreements, said the chief executive of AT &. T Mobility, Glenn Lurie
“We spend a lot of money building the platform. This is just another way to have the same assets and monetize them, and not just in America but globally,” Lurie said in an interview.
