There are companies that block access to computers to various apps, like Facebook

Gone are the days the biggest synonymous with rebellion during working hours was to use Web Messenger, because the IT department blocked the installation of the app on the work computer. There are companies that today block everything from Facebook to Evernote, but the case is more complicated when it comes to smart-phone. When the company provides mobile device, you can go as far as to install a GPS via monitoring software – like Xora StreetSmart, which recently led to the dismissal of an employee in California when it uninstalled the app. Or when the phone is personal but tremendous source of distraction, even the employee can self-discipline-yes, there are apps to block social networks during working hours, as the selfcontrol and Freedom. Any boss will thank this effort; but this will not be the case following list. These are basically applications that your boss will not find very funny if you see them on your phone.

1. Quit Your Job

From the creators of BreakUp Text, an application that ends relationships when you do not want to do, to Quit Your Job is precisely what the name says – dismisses it by itself. Only available for iPhone (sorry, Androids), starts to question you about the reason that leads him to slam the door – is fed up of the business world, whether rich or found another job. The app will do the rest, making the decision a resignation email to be received by the head. And then gives access to a database of job offers to find the next – though the creators warn users that they should not take leave without having another job in sight. Basic, right? It’s facing the American market, where labor mobility is huge and there are more job offers than those that exist at the moment in Portugal. But if someday use in a moment of anger, you can always excuse yourself by saying it was a joke.

2. AVG PrivacyFix

It’s no surprise to anyone that the bosses use leisure applications to know what employees are doing, what they say about work and colleagues and use social networks when should not. The AVG app PrivacyFix, available for Android and iOS, lets you control the privacy on various social networks, ensuring that the boss and colleagues only see what you want. Most importantly, blocks tracking the unit may be being targeted, including turning off wifi networks so that its location can not be determined. It is true, as we have come to this.
