The first system of shared electric bikes in the United States, “Zyp Bikeshare”, will be equipped with Portuguese technology. The system was launched by the company bewegen this week in Birmingham, Alabama.
The built-Portuguese technology allows the location of each bike in real time and was provided by Bikeemotion, created in partnership by technology companies and the University of Aveiro.
The technological solution adopted, fully developed in Portugal, allows each bicycle communicate with the central and report its location in real time, with the main objective to provide flexibility to the shared bicycle users so they can leave the bikes where they want.
