The University of the Algarve welcomes, from today, Monday, and by Friday, a single international event in the country, related to the technology transfer
The Algarve academia, through the CRIA. – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer, was the partner chosen by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), a division of Government of the United States of America, to promote capacity-building workshop “ Fostering an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem in Tunisia through the Effective Use of Technology Transfer Office .”
“Portugal was the country chosen to host this international program taking into account, inter alia, the Portuguese experience of CRIA – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer UAlg in creating a technology transfer office and the respective operation in favor promoting an ecosystem of innovation that drives private industry and university research for the public good, “revealed the University of Algarve, in a press release.
The initiative is a testament to the work incentive economic development and promotion of a free market that has been developed by CLDP in Middle East and North Africa, in this case in Tunisia.
With the action that develops in this context, the division of Department of Commerce the US government “intends to help develop the capacity of government officials of this country and university / research centers in technology transfer and intellectual property systems.”
The event will be attended by officials from the Department of Commerce of the US Government and guest speakers, including the director of INESC-TEC, the deputy director of Cambridge Enterprise Ltd. of Cambridge University, Marketing Director of EDP elements of the University of Algarve, the Ocean Sciences Centre (CCMAR), the Higher Technical Institute of the University of Beira Interior, the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra and SPAROS companies, and Necton Itelmatis.
“The CLDP offers consulting services and training for legislators, regulators, judges, lawyers, teachers and administrative and government officials seeking assistance in policy and evaluation strategies, review and implementation mode to promote the development of commercial legal systems “, framed the UAlg.
